Hi there, my name is Dr. Claude-Marthe, and I am the owner and founder of Le Bon Goût Seasoning. I am the oldest in my family and the first grandchild; I was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and cooking has always been a passion of mine. I vividly remember making white rice on a Friday afternoon when I was a pre-teen and feeling immense pride and accomplishment. From that day, I continued to cook more and received pointers from my dad, who is a phenomenal cook.
The idea of Le Bon Goût Seasoning came about in college because the cafeteria food did not agree with me. I was getting sick often with constant stomach pain, which was taking a toll on my health, academics, and social life. Until I discovered that I was experiencing IBS symptoms and knowing what was causing the problem. I decided to opt out of my school meal plan, and thankfully the dormitory had a kitchen where I could make my food.
I started cooking for myself and sharing my food with friends who loved it and would ask for my recipe. I always told them that the unique flavor comes from my seasoning blend, that I make using fresh herbs and spices. Encouraged by their feedback, I decided to turn my passion for cooking into a business.
Today, I am proud to offer a range of organic seasoning blends free from artificial additives and preservatives, made with only the finest organic ingredients. I am delighted to be putting Haiti on the map by sharing my culture with others through my products. I am committed to providing my customers with the best products and making cooking a fun, relaxing, and rewarding bonding experience for family and friends.
